Tokio Marine Kiln has appointed Alexandros Ampatzis as Head of Marine in Asia Pacific.

Alexandros Ampatzis has many years of experience in marine insurance underwriting and management across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Tokio Marine Kiln, he served as Marine Manager for Southeast Asia at Starr. Earlier in his career, he spent several years deepening his expertise in the marine insurance business at AXA Group, holding positions including Deputy Head of Marine Cargo & Liabilities Underwriting for South Asia and Senior Underwriter for Marine Liabilities & Hull. In his new role, he will be based in Singapore, reporting to Jamie Tang, Chief Underwriting Officer, Asia Pacific.

The appointment is effective November 1, 2024.
