Prudential has appointed John Cai as Regional CEO for Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Agency.

John Cai has more than 20 years of management experience in the insurance industry across Asia. He previously served as Regional CEO of AIA Group, overseeing business operations and agency channel transformation across multiple Asian markets. Prior to joining AIA, he was Chief Executive Officer of AXA Hong Kong. In his new role, he will be based in Hong Kong and report to Anil Wadhwani, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential plc.

The appointment is effective April 7, 2025.
